Whats out there thats got: EFI, Automatic, 4x4, front dif lock, and priced under $6000 bucks?

Leaning toward the EFI cause I'll be moving out west and Ive read its good for Higher Altitudes and cold weather......But for where I live now theres every brand dealer you can think of cause its a military town and they sell tons of them......Matt

If you want brand new, maybe the new 450 King Quad. EFI and under 6K is going to be a hard requirement to fill with a new quad. Just for the record, I a properly set up carb model will do just fine. I am really waiting for a more advanced efi system to come out and be proven before I am willing to give up my good old fashioned carb.

You can probably find a leftover 05 or even 06 700 King Quad for under $6k.

That $6000 will be hard to do. Anybody know what the MSRP is on the new Can-Am 500? You may want to look for used or an 05-06 thats still sitting on the showroom.

thanks kickass, The new Rancher is in my price range and looks like an awesome quad, the only Rancher Auto is the one without the EFI I believe and its a tad bit smaller CCs........but Ive ridden my buds Recon with the ES system and I liked it........

Whats the best type transmission for Mudding, stream crossing, and hill climbs and such? Want an auto but I read and was worried that alot of them are geared too high for that type of riding........My riding experience is only on the Recon so Ive never been on a foot shifter or reg......or an Auto..........I havent done any hard abuse on the Recon cause after getting stuck in Mud a couple times in mud thats not very deep it was basicly trail riding.......

What part of the "West" are you going to be in???

I ride places where I absolutely need a utility (mostly high altitude in the eastern Sierra), and other places where a heavy ute is an absolute disadvantage (open desert). Depending on where you end up, you might want to consider a sport quad?????????

I have ridden lots around Colorado Springs, although not recently. It is right at the foot of the mountains though, so you better get one of each: A ute for the mountains, and a sport for the prarie!
