Bahhhhhhhhh! I've towed more Honda's back to camp than ANY other brand hands down... The next would be Yamaha.... and you know what.... those are the ONLY brands I have had to tow. No Polaris, No Suzuki, No AC, No Can-AM... actually the Can-Am is what is pulling everyone home.
To the original poster... do you own research... sit on a few bike test rid ethem if possible then make your decision... people on this forum tend to be very brand loyal... including me.

yeah, yeah, yeah, everybodys bike is the biggest and the baddest, but we all know what brands we see getting towed home the most---and its not Honda.

Its very obvious that there are a lot of children on this forum and they get all of their info from Daddy's dealer.
Most every quad out there is pretty good. Some are better in some areas and worse in others. Honda and Polaris are seen the most here in the Southeast. All quads have problems at some point. My Sportsman 600 was pulled back on almost every trip. My 3 Hondas never have a problem. And yes, Honda holds a bigger share of the market than any, followed by Polaris. No, your Polaris dealer will not tell you this.

my first time posting, just kind of playing around here, to see if i can do it right, I see people listing different bikes in a list? what they own or have owned? I would fill a few pages or possibly a book so i will pass on that. Polaris in my opinion are the most expensive in upkeep and maintaince parts are high, engines use metric and chassis uses american bolts. I always tease my buddys that I really believe R&D at Polaris is a bunch of good ol boys getting a few 6 packs (maybe cases) of beer down and decide it time to design a 4x4. yipee!!!! no one can touch Japs for quality and design, I remember all the joking when rhe japs started the importing in early 60's they were all a bunch of our beer cans melted down, where I grew up we had a Grand National flat track that was all Triumphs, Harleys, BSA's, nortons to name a few my dads friend rode for Harley and was good, but he came out racing Honda 305's and that started making people changing there minds. I see the same thing happening with thew new imports from China, 5 years ago I don't think the average bike or atv would make it an hour where we ride but slowly they are getting better just as Honda did. I am hoping to see some quality stuff in the near future but for now Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki are by far the best, I ride a 300cc kaw lakota and in our woods, very seldom am I following unless were on a logging road, these new GIANT ATV'S are a bust! they don't fit the trails, they are top heavy if you get stuck (and they do) lots of fun. I also believe there this has been an increase in injuries do to inexperienced riders purchasing these oversized machines , I have seen friends roll over back words on the 400cc and smaller ATVs and simply put there feet up and roll them off with out injury, and thankfully have not had to witness someone coming over backwords on a 700 or larger, i am afraid they would be squished! remember only about 10 years ago a 400cc atv was the biggest them out there! I really think if someone wants a farm/hunting machine stay with 500cc or smaller, anything bigger get a Jeep (with a rollcage) or a Kubota tractor. thanks. 45 years of riding and hoping for another 45

Well ive probably rode almost every brand of atv not every size but every brand and in my experiences honda/can am are most relable (but most expensive). Yamaha, Suzuki, Arctic cat, Polaris are all about the same as far as utility atvs. The only big bonus about the polaris is that they are so cheap to fix. Parts for them are USALLY a lot cheap than the the same part on a quad from ever seas.
