Buying Youth ATV, question please?
#1
I went to my local deals and I find the brand name 50 cc 4 wheelers run from $1700-$2200.
But when I look online I see these off brand ones for $400-$600 shipped. For example this one:
Kazuma MX-50 Meerkat 50 - $525.00
What are the pro and cons of these no name brands? Are there not very good 4 wheelers? Whats the scoop?

Ok I should of done some research before I posted the above thread. But now I have!
From what I see there are some that have problems with the Kazma ATV's but there are fixes and work arounds. For the most part the low price out ways the problems.
I think I will purchase a 50 cc for my son age 5 and a 90 cc for my daughter age 10.
Any suggestions for my fat butt, age 33?

David, have the 50 you are refering to, with no problems. Also have the Redcat/Kazuma Baby Falcon 110 with very little problems-carb adjusting, valve adjusting. The Baby Falcon is fairly small. These are an inexpensive way to get youths involved but they seem to require maintanance. If you want Honda's only add gas quality, buy Honda. Might post on Kids ATV forum if you haven't already. Not sure on yourself. Good luck!

I purchased a Wildfire ATV on Ebay for about 450 out the door...It is a 49cc for my 4 year old,,,man does he love it..He rides it for hours and was out riding it in the snow today...The bike is great for a beginner but not of the same quality as the name brands of course..It has the regulator on it but no reverse if that interests you...I have the limit down now and it will go about 13MPH now.. I am not sure of top speed yet...The bike is not designed the greatest it is hard to check and change the oil, the instruction manual is horrible, customer service will get back to you but not right away....I traveled an hour and a half to pick it up and saved on shipping..I guess if I need parts I can travel there to get them...My wifes friend's husband actually sells this product but he could not even touch the price I got..The prices are available at www.wildfiremotors.com...If I had to pay that much plus shipping I would lean toward a used high quality machine...The bike is nice for the price and for the beginner, when he is ready to step up then I will buy an expensive bike.... SO if I had to buy another for a beginner I would at this price for sure then take the plunge for a Yamaha,Suzuki, Kaw,,etc....

If you want to know the truth the youth atvs are all foreign made ones, like kimco for instance, with a yamaha, polaris, arctic cat, etc... sticker on them and double the price for their name
