Default Scarmbler 500

My friend recently got a 2001 Scrambler 500 for $1750. Now I am looking for a Scrambler 500 for around the same price. So am i gonna have to look far and wide to find one or should I be able to find one for that price fairly easy? Also, what is a good online classifieds for quads, besides monkeyads and if you know where I can find one in NY,PA,NJ,CT, or around there please let me know. I live in Congers, NY, 35 miles north of NYC.

for 1700-ish i wouldnt expect too much. when i was looking for scrammys it was impossible to find a decent one for below 2300. if you keep looking for one you should be able to find a good deal. the only other online classifieds website is www.craigslist.org, its not only for quad but they have a few. do they have the Want Ad in new york... i know its only in states around Mass but i thought i'v seen a couple ads in NY. well anyways, try to find a Want Ad if you can. you'll find lots of quads from MA and CT.

Default Scrambler 500?

The Scramblers go back from the late 90's till now. Is there any place that will describe model year changes?

I know the early years were 2 stroke and all wheel drive and the later years went to 4stroke then selectable 4wd. Any other improvements?
