How do you pay for the toys?

Depends on how bad you want to ride...
For us ATVs are just about a way of life. Anything we do, we see if there is a way to fit our ATVs into the picture.
The only one I "own" is the Honda. We make payments on both the others, and with as much fun as they provide we don't mind doing it.

Everyone needs to have something to enjoy and I would have to agree with v2rider. I usually trade my old one in which is hard to get first without having one to trade in, then throw down as much as I can hoping I can put down about half of the balance and pay off the remainder balance at the best promotional rate before it expires. Then again, I think about how much money people spend on cigarettes, alcohol, renting and/or buying DVD's etc, every week and other consequence expenses like late fees, high interests rates and that justifies having a payment for fun to have on. Of course the bills come first and if you don't have enough then you need to find other means of getting one.

I agree with most of the replies, but make sure your main obligations are met. Don't use your kids' college fund for a toy, and be aware that $69.00/mo is easy. It's when it jumps up to $200/mo after the 2 yr 'teaser' rate is up that it gets tough.

I used to be a bank robber, but then the computer age slowed me down....LOL. Actually, I am a research chemist and I believe in paying cash for everything if possible. My bf750i is paid for and I paid cash for the new polaris 800 x2 DLX. Just mostly been blessed by God to be able to afford things.

I basically finance my stuff, unless it's cheap like under $2000.00 then I a pay cash. I generally have the money in the bank to buy my stuff, but for some reason I like seeing the money in my account. Granted I'm paying a higher interest rate on a loan vs. what the bank pays me for my money sitting in the bank.
I never take on more than what I can afford. Meaning that we (my family) can still do things like go on vacations and eat out every weekend. I still put money in my retirement account and have money for my kids college with a little extra so when he gets older I can help him out with a new house or something.
