Default i need guidance plz

I have a dilemma. I'm in a toss with 3 quads. Yamaha 700r raptor, kawie's new 450r or kfx 700 v. I just got rid of my ds and I'm looking for something with rewind lol. But something that will haul a heavier rider around. i weigh in at 240 lbs., I like torque lol. I guess what i'm really lookin for is some opinions about those quads to kinda help me make up my mind. Thanks ya'll !!!

I say the Raptor.

The kawi 450 is a nice machine, but not the torquer that the Raptor is.

The kfx700 is really a 2wd utility quad.....and automatics are a crutch for those who can't handle a clutch.

well thats the way i was leanin. but i was told the raptor wasn' t realy made for a tall guy. i've had a 400 scrambler, 250 mojave, 110 honda, 200 yamaha, and finally a ds650 my pesonal fav. i realy want somethin as good on the trail as it is in the air. the ds isn't quit so airborne friendly.

The KFX700 is heavy. Wanting something as good on the trail as in the air should knock it out right away. DirtWheels says the new Raptor 700SE is the best trail machine. They say its good on the track too, which would mean it's good in the air. I think the Raptor would be your best bet.

well I'm a pretty experienced rider i was just look for "the keeper". every one I've had has been missing something. but the ds had rear bearing troubles and no reverse besides that it was almost perfect (i don't have a favorite brand) I'm just an adrenaline junky lol

I personally dislike the ergonomics of the Raptor, but that doesn't mean you will. I still find it a little narrow in back for my taste, and the center of gravity is a bit high. It is way more stable than the old one, but still tall and tippy compared to any of the 450s. I absolutely would not want to bust out any big air on the Raptor. You land bad and it isn't not going to be very forgiving, as narrow and tall as it is.

I have ridden the Kawi 450 quite a bit, including some tight woods trail riding yesterday. It's not the "magic carpet" that all the magazines say it is, but it is a very fine machine (the magazines alway love the latest thing to come out). I think it is the best all-around machine of all the 450s. For me personally, I would take it over the Raptor.

Got to wonder how you got to these three choices???? They are very different machines, from different classes! The kawi 450 is MX/track bred, the Raptor is a trail quad, and the kawi 700 is a warmed over 2wd ute.

Seems like you need to pick a class of machine that suits you riding requirements, and then choose from among those!
