I have an 05 250e and I'm wanting sumthing bigger....I need help choosing between a 300ex or a 400ex....I ride alot of trails , but also have sum open trail riding, and back roads....shld i go ahead and pay more and get the 400 so i dnt have to worry about modding as much, becuz ive heard the 300 isnt much faster, or stronger than the 250...would it be smarter to just go with the 300 and mod it as i get more money..any feedback would be helpful

 

you know, i dont know THAT much about quads, hell i just posted on this forum myself.

but i have a friend who has a 300ex. i mean its fast, it can almost keep up with my 01 warrior. but im 6'2 185 pounds and that 300ex is tiny for me. i dont know, you probably want to hear more input of others but im gonna say, shell out some more money and get a 400ex. like i said, probably want to wait for more input, im actually looking into getting a 400ex myself.

Get the 300 only if you are a smaller person and the medium size frame fits you better. If you are larger, definitely get the 400!

Both are superb machines! Wish I has kept my 300 for my kids.

 

I'm with the others. The 300EX is a decent step up from a 250 autoclutch, but you would likely be happier with the 400.
