It looks like you are hooked on the engine on the raptor 700, Have you done any research on the recalls , and owners input.Yes it is a 700cc but the rest of the quad? For trail riding I do not think it is your best choice. raptors are known to have problems with cooling and transmission. Have you looked at the new Can Am 450.

no i havnt, where can i find recall info?, and yes ive looked at the Can Am 450, it looks like its gonna be sick, but i dont kno if i can wait for it to com out, lol

For information on recalls, log in to yamaha on the net, and look for the recalls . As far as waiting, it is up to you. Buy a copy of dirt wheels for the month of August. there is a shootout on the 450 quads and a firt test on the DS450 and the Can Am.

it looks like they do not post them any more . But in this site you can do some resarch . Go to yamaha forums and look at wich quad has more postings with problems.

I would say go with the YFZ, and buy a gently used one. It's going to be the least cost of all your options and it's still a great machine.

Don't worry about not having reverse. As an adult male you should have no problem lifting a machine to spin it around. Reverse is for 600 lb utility quads, women, and small guys who can't lift a quad.
