I need an ATV I can abuse. Please help
I am from Moab Utah and we do a lot of 2-5 day long trails. Breaking down sucks. We had the EFI go out on an ATV and we had to tow it for 2 days. Miserable.
So, I am buying an ATV and I want rock solid reliability. I want manual everything because I can fix a linkage on the trail easier than electronics.
I have been looking at a Suzuki Eiger. Carburated, lingages on all controls, no liquid cooling etc. It seems perfect. The only this is I am not sure how they are for long term durability.
Anyone know how well they hold up long term?
Is there another 4 wheeler I should be looking at?

I have only had my Eiger for 1 1/2 years but wouldn't take my money back for it. I have ridden all day long on trails, mud, sand, etc. with no problems, except one blown fuse. Replaced it and on my way again. It is a very comfortable ride with good power. Like you, I liked it first because of the simple features, don't care anything about the bells and whistles. I would love to make it out to Moab someday and ride. What I have seen from TV and magazines it looks awesome.
