Default Raptor 700

How does the 2006 Raptor 700 compare with the 2004-2005 Yamaha/Honda 450? I was very much considering getting one of the 450s and found a great deal on a 700. Are there are any problems are anything I need to be looking out for? Thank you very much for the help!

I like the ergonomics of both the 450's, but I just don't like the Raptor....just don't feel comfortable on it. It carries its weight a little high in the frame and it is a bit taller, so it has a bit of a top heavy feel as well. The Raptor suspension is mushy.

The Raptor is a torque monster, and make it power down low, so it will make a better trail quad. The 450's on the other hand are all rev, and they make their power up high (more like a 2-stroke), so I like them for more open trails and wide open country.

i have raptor 700 and love it. another thing to think about is matinace on the bike. the yfz450 is a high strung engine and needs lots of attition. but if you are going to race on a track get the 450.
