New 450
i whould look at the suzuki ltr-450 it is a swet bike. my buddy bought one let me take it out for a day and i was really impressed with it. i have rode yfz450s, trx450rs and the ltr-450 and liked the ltr the best. the reason i liked it the most is because it is alot wider than the other stock 450s and it has efi which i really like. once i pay off my raptor 700 i am going to be looking at one.

We need details on your specific type of riding! Trails, desert, MX, etc. ????
Frankly, I don't like any of the 450's for trail riding. They all like to rev, and that isn't the hot setup for slow technical stuff. On trails, you need a torquey low end and an engine that will lug down (Honda 400EX!), and that isn't any of the 450s. Lots of 2-stroke style clutch slipping required, and that gets old real real fast.
I ride desert, and the Honda 450R is the king of the desert! It is the quad of choice for all the long endurance races (Baja, Vegas to Reno). If you aren't on the Honda, chances are you won't even finish the race...much less win....that says it all for me!
For MX or play riding, I think I might pick the Yamaha. For freestyle jumping, I would stick with the Honda.
