HELMET HELP
Will be picking up my new 500 Polaris Sportsman +2 and need advise on a quality ATV helmet with the huge selection out there. Dealer didn't have a lot to look at in the showroom and only a few (costly ones) were rated for Snell. Definately want a Snell M2000 + rating but want to keep the cost down. One helmet that jumped out was the AFX FX 87. Anyone have one? Anything else worth looking at under $200 with a Snell M2000 + rating? At this point, I've lost enough hair trying on helemts, listening to dealer hype on the $300 - $500 helmets and searching online.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I do not know how you are about shopping online but denniskirk.com has a nice selection. I prefer to try them on myself. I mainly own HJC after trying many others on found it to be the most comfortable. Are also at a decent price.

HELMET HELP
Bell Helmets
I'm kinda of old school when it comes to helmets. Simpson is my first choice as I have ahd many off their Full face helemts, but I didn't like there Moto helmet.
I bought a Bell Moto-7R. Nice fit, removable inner liner and cheek pads. And it also comes in plain white.
Being old school I liked that too. Their sizes run a bit smaller then a Simpson so if in doubt go with the next bigger size.

HELMET HELP
My helmet is the AFX FX 35 which is very comfortable, good ventilation, DOT & ECE approved but apparently not Snell approved based on This Chart on the AFX Website. The AFX FX 87 you mention looks similar to mine but is Snell approved, yet still costs only about $100. AFX makes a nice helmet. If the FX 87 is a good fit and you like the way it looks why pay $200 or more? AFX helmet sizes may also run a bit small, mine is a medium, though my hat size is only 7.
