Hey guys, I'm starting to look at getting an ATV. I am a ski-doo rider, going to be changing to atvs due to no snow =(

Anyways what do you recommend for me:

I'll be riding mostly on the frozen lake, and I own 40 acers of forest land that I'd like to make trails and off road with. I'm looking for a quick bike but something that will be good in mud holes as well. The can-ams are looking nice, or a polaris sportsman. I'd like something around 600cc a lil power but not over kill on insurance or money wise. I'll probably buy used. Also I will put a plow on it for winter months. Thanks in advance!

I have an 07 AC 650 H1 and it has plenty of power and good ground clearence for pushing snow or playing in the mud or snow. No problems so far and i don't see any in the near future.

Insurance Companies will not kill you with rates like sleds if the motor is larger. My friend pays the same for insurance on his 660 Grizzly as I do on a 500cc ATV. We ice fish all the time with a 500 Foreman,660 Grizzly,350 Big Bear and Sportsman 500,all carb models and they all start up no problem.

I would look at the Kawi Brute Force 650. It's definitely quick and should push a plow just fine. You also have the option of straight axle (sportier handling, less sag under load) or independent suspension (higher ground clearance, softer ride).
