Default Looking for a new 07/08 400

In just over a year I have wrecked my Baja 250 "ball joints, A frame and tie rod ends are all in need of replacment" At 6' 240lbs I was to big for it. I have been shopping around looking at 400's, most are in the $8000 price range. Im looking for opinions on what kind I should get. Im looking for a utility quad 4x4 that can handle my weight and the tuff terrain that I enjoy riding through.

I looked at the Can-Am Outlander 400

Honda fourtrax TRX400FG

Any comments would be appreciated.

I bought a 2006 400 fis cat this spring. I am about the same size as you and that cat is a nice fit. I even put the wife on back and have no problems(Kimpex seat). It won't win any drag race contest for sure, does 50 mph, a little more downhill! Rides and handles decent with a set of 6-ply tires, and will crawl over anything in its path. 800 miles without any problems. The machine is physically big and doesn't feel like you are on a toy. I bought this because I ride rough terrain and mud. If you are looking for speed, look elsewhere, but if you like torque, this 400 does very well.

The cat will handle rough terrain better than most, with fis and irs, the best ground clearance, and the locker. Get the Arctic Cat. You will love it.

get a suzuki eiger 400 they are tough id go with camo u cant even tell when u get scratches and it looks cool if your a tuff rider this will handle it i am tough on things too and i never blew up my dads 400 eiger it goes as fast as my z250 stock thats pretty fast for a 4x4 dont let the automatic tranny scare you i though that the tranny would slow the atv down when u let of the throttle but it does and it takes off fast faster than i can shift my 250 my dad used to beat me with his 400 against my 250 but i stopped that by building up my engine
