what would tall say is the best all around 450 out of the box for 08 im thinkin the LT-R

Up until 08 I would say the LTR hands down out of the box....but this bike has me wondering. Check out the link:

It's called the "X" package. They say it has best in class handling, power, and power to weight ratio.

Depends on what you want to do......

I ride desert, and the Honda is the king of desert endurance racing (if you aren't on a Honda, you porbably won't even finish...much less win!), so that choice was easy for me.

If I rode track, it would be either the Yamaha or Suzuki.

If I rode trails, maybe the Kawi wth some gearing changes.

Wouldn't own any Polaris, no matter what!

KTM's show a lot of promise.

Why is that? Is there something I haven't read about [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I've only ridden one utility Polaris and the 6x6 a few times and they were very nice.

 

Just had to tow to may of them home over the years!

 

im not to fond of polaris either not only are they not quite as lasting as honda or yamaha or suzuki but they just plain out fall apart. my friend has a predator and first day a croom he hit a fence when he was ridin woops only going in 2nd gear and it got all squiirly and when he hit the fence his shoe caught the brake pedal and ripped the rear brakes out completly

ATV Sport Magazine just did a 450cc shootout with all seven major brands included. They picked the best 450cc ATV for trail riding / cross country use, and here was the finishing order:

1. KTM 450 XC
2. CanAm DS 450
3. Polaris Outlaw 450
4, and 5. Tie between Honda TRX 450R and Yamaha YFZ 450
6. Kawasaki KFX 450
7. Suzuki LT-R 450
