Looking for a 08 utility
im looking for a new quad. i currently own a 2001 Beartracker. it is a good quad, but i want something a lot better. i will be riding in mud, on trails, pulling trucks(if possible) and doing some yard work such as moving wood and carrying junk. i want something that i can ride for hours comfortably. i need it to pull and pull hard. i want something torquey, not a speed demond.
i have been looking at the King Quad 450 and 750
Yamaha Grizzly 450 and 700
Kawasaki Brute force 750

When I got my new atv I had all the same requirements!
I looked at and rode as many differant atv's I could, I talked to several experianced rides and my decision was a Polaris 500 X2.
The new Polaris are very good atv's, surpassing the others in several areas.
Some nice benefits are:
sealed front storage box, hundreds extra for other atvs
3 head light system, best night time lighting
true 4wd AWD system with ADC and EBS
raised winch mount, up out of the mud
full steel skids welded to frame, no need to buy extra skids
very cushy ride, Polaris known as Caddy ride of atvs
the 500 has been around for many years and known as the Chevy 350 of atvs
easy and cheaper to get parts for, oil/filter/plugs available at most parts store
mostly made in good ol USA
check Polaris, Can-AM and Artic Cat out before you make your purchase.
I used to be all Yamaha but there are better atvs out there!

depends on where you live. can-am is the highest priced out there! cats are at the other end of the price range.</end quote></div>
The cats arent cheap. But you get a very strong ATV. If you need to pull "trucks???" you should make a big investment and look at nothing smaller than a 700H1, but the new H2 1000 from AC is the biggest monster of all ATVs. It is supposed to have MASSIVE amounts of power and torque. But it comes with a price tag to go with it.

in Ga., i can get a cat cheaper than any other brand quad (same cc ) . and as far as the 700 h1 cat, unless sumtin has changed, uses ths suzuki motor. the king quad is just a few dollars more than the cat, and is worth every bit. unless u want speed and nothing else, i strongly advise the king or cat, and not the brute
