ATV Survey
#1
I am doing a survey about what's important when purchasing an atv.
Would you ever purchase a off brand atv? (Chinese Brand) Why or why not!
What are the advatages and disadvatanges of a name brand unit?
If you could build your dream atv what features would it have?
If you think any of the branded atvs are weak in a particular area please let me know.

1. i would never buy an off brand quad because they suck andin moast cases there is no product suport
2. the advantages of a name brand is reliabilty and product suport the disadvantages are price
3. sport atv, tons of tourq lots of top end too probally around 350 cc and a muffler that hardley makes a sound chain drive and manual transmision key start with kick start back up, and to rngage reverse you put in 1st and then push a button and shift down lastley lots of suspension travle
hope this helps

i whould never buy a chinese quad due to lack of quality and horrable resale value.
if i chould build a dream quad it whould be a lonestar custom desert racing frame with a raptor 700 engine, motowoz shocks front and back, epic a-arms, +2 custom swingarm. durablue 2+2 eliminator axle and as far as engine mods it whould have barker inframe duals, stock bore with high comp piston and stage 3 cam, +2mm throttle body bore, dynatek injection system, power commander 3.

ATVs are like Pickups. Go buy a high end GMC or Dodge Diesel engine 4X4 pickup for $45K, run 100K miles on it and sell it for 3/4 of the origional price. Buy a 2 wheel drive Ford Ranger for $17K and get 50% after 30K miles. Quality is not low on the Ford, just no one wants a used Ford Ranger. ATVs are the same. Go spend $8500 for a high end unit and get good resale value as people want a good used large bore ATV. No one wants a used Kymco that is recalled for failing ball joints.

no, like others said no product support and inferior crafstmanship a lot of the time
What are the advatages and disadvatanges of a name brand unit?
-product support, available parts, aftermarket parts, better quality
-If you could build your dream atv what features would it have?
Already had two of them, had to part with one to get my jetboat.
Sold the Quadzilla but kept The Wolverine. I miss that Quadzilla though.
Wolverine set up as I have it is a great go anywhere ride with anybody (wolverine 350, i dont like the new wolvy 450)
Has mods in my signature
If you think any of the branded atvs are weak in a particular area please let me know.</end quote></div>
no I think the big 4 are all pretty equal in terms of quality, really depends which brand offers you what your looking for. I have always been mildly brand loyal to Yamaha I think they make and have made great unique products
Everybody had 250 two stroke cingle cyl race quads in the 80s, they brought the two cyl. 350 banshee. I love the Wolverine i think its the only real sport utility ATV. Yeah the Polaris Scrablers are cool too but I like shifting, even if it is without a clutch.
they have all had and will continue to have their blockbuster models (Honda 250r, Banshee, Quadzilla, Wolverine, z400, sportsman...
