I like IRS, don't get me wrong, I see the disadvantages and was hoping for some straight axle bikes to be mentioned, like garman did, however I think the DS would be slightly too much bike for me. I guess I should have mentioned nothing bigger than 500-ish. my bad.

HOW MANY PLACES IN OREGON HAVE YOU RIDDIN. MOST OF THE OREGON DUNES ARE VERY OPEN . FLORENCE HAS ALOT OF TIGHT TRAILS BUT WINCHESTER AND COOS BAY HAVE PLENTY OF AREA TO OPEN THE THROTTLE. IF YOU LIKE TO RIDE FOR HOURS AND SEE NOTHING GO TO CALI.
garman-You familiar with Oregon dunes??? While there are some open dune areas, it is mostly very tight sand trails that run in between the trees and bushes. This is trail quad conditions....and not your classic open duning conditions that folks in the rest of the country are use to!

AND THE DS ISNT THAT POWERFUL. ITS A GOOD STABLE BIKE BUT LACKS IN THE POWER DEPARTMENT. DIDNT THEY QUIT MAKING THEM ALREADY
