Which Kawasaki??

I know I'll probably get blasted for asking this because they are 2 totally different kinds of machine, but...
I am JUST on the verge of buying a Brute Force 750i (and thanks to everyone who gave me advice on this) when I happened to see a KFX 700 which I saw was an automatic.
I didnt realise you could even get sport quads with auto.
My question is, assuming I can overcome the issue of it not being 4wd what are they like as a machine? Handling, performance etc. How do they compare to other big bore sport quads because it seems quite a bit heavier than the Raptor?
I'm guessing its significantly more powerful and better handling than a BF but where does it come in the list of sport quads.
Are there any other auto sports I could look at?
Thanks all.

Sounds to me as if you more or less trying to compare a kfx to a Raptor? If so ther is no comaprison to be made two totaly diff machines. All the KFX is---is basicaly a lighter sportier utility if you ask me its a good machine in its for light trail to full out open terrain riding! IMHO!

It is a stretch to call the KFX700 a true "sport" quad. It is basically a 2wd shaft drive utility, with sport quad plastic....same idea as what Honda did with the 250EX/Recon.
If you can use a "hybrid" machine of this type then ok. The current standard for sport quads is in the 350 pound range, and the KFX is 500+ as I recall....nothing very sporty about that....pretty much a huge pig! It will handle better than a heavier utility, but don't expect anything close to a true sport quad ride.

I think I may forget the KFX and i'm BLOODY glad I asked before impulse buying!!
Poor imitation of a sports quad seems to be the general consensus. I'll stick to the more practical BF. It was only because I saw the auto that I even considered and thought it may have Renegade performance w/o Renegade price tag. Thanks.

We have an absolutely beautiful semi-technical woods trail system in the local mountains! The 400EX and Rancher handle it great, yet my buddies who have the KFX won't ride with me there. They say it's to tight and technical back there for them.

KFX = no chance.
Thanks guys.
1 question I would ask thats got nothing to do with it really:
I only mentioned the Raptor 700 because I assumed that was best/most powerful sports quad out there. Is that correct?

There has been a few stock quads that are giveing a Raptor a run for its money that being the kTM 525, Polaris 525 and poss the new Honda 700xx{ but nobody knows for shure yet as no comparison test have been done yet that I know of for the 700xx and the 700R} But of those choices I would still take the Raptor as it is the most buildable of those bikes. Whith a basic few mods the raptor will be in 60-70 hp range and you can build it as some have over 100hp with some complex mods! As I have said before and I will say again the 700R is as of right now in my opinion the best turn key sport bike avail today!!!!!!!!!!!!
