I have decided to get a Grizzly 700. Now it is time to shop around for prices.

Is there much room for making a deal or do the dealers stay prity close to MSRP. I went to the dealership in my town today and was given a price MSRP - current factory rebates + tax. with no extra fees.. is that fair? I know some dealers like to add on plenty of extra charges. Or there room to try to get the price down.. I asked him if he had any 08s that i saw an Yamaha's web sight they have a extra rebate for. He said all he had was 09's because they dont stay sitting around the shop that long.

if you were hunting for a honda...try these two dealers:

1) ritchie powersports, Athens TN

2) souther honda, Chattanooge, TN

yamaha....try this one:

1) lakehill motors, Corinth, MS

(google each of these dealers)

let me know what you think

Dcc, you have a hard time with reading comprehension dont ya? He's asking if the price he got sounds fair, not what dealer to go to.

Blaster7, what is the msrp, and what price did they give you? I would expect to get between 10-13% off msrp out the door.

I would shop around. It's like buying a new car. Some dealership will discount and others will not. I wouldn't pay MRSP. Newer Models like the 09' will not be discounted as much as the previous year model. Don't be afraid to go out of State.
I paid about 12% under MRSP for one and the other that was almost 2 years old(new) I paid 23% under MRSP.

MSRP 8300 - 400 rebate from Yamaha = 7900 + 553 NC tax = 8453 OTD

He said it was on an 09 but the he told me the MSRP of an 08 model... don't know if he was looking on the wrong sheet or if he was knocking some off. because the msrp has got up buy 300 for 09.. He also asked me if i had my farm tax exemption # and said if i did he only had to charge me 1% tax instead of 7% i sent off my aplacation for that this morning lol

Thats not even a fair deal in my opinion.

Considering it's an '09, I would offer $7500 out the door which is about 10% off msrp.

I was astonded that a dealer about 15 miles away had 08 800 sportmans for $7400.00 more than one. the dealer I purchased my 08 800 Sportmans acted like I was pulling their teeth just to get them down to $8200.00.

So my point is YES shop around, whish I would have could have saved at least $1000.00 bucks.

If you want wiggle room, you might want to check out classifieds for pre-owed (used) ATVs in your area. You may find a killer deal.

just my 2-cents.
