I am wanting to get my son into 4 wheeler mud pit racing. I was wondering what you guys think the best 4 wheeler would be for this. Most the guys are using banshees or raptors, but I dont think they are really made for mud racing? Most of those guys are getting beat by 4x4 utilities? The pit is about 300 feet long and 2 1/2 foot deep of mud. They race thru the pit and win based on time. He keeps talking about wanting a Polaris 500 4x4 scrambler. What do you guys think? He is just turning 13 yrs old. Thanks guys.

 

the scrammy would be a good choice. if he's turning 13 it may be to big for him. i don't know if his skills are up to par for the quad. if they are hammer down and let the mud fly. most mud racers are 4x4 ute's. they have more choices for tires and lift kits for the deeper stuff
