help decideing on sport quad

You can get something powerful, or cheap, or easy to maintain. You can ever get two out of three, but I don't think you can get all three in one ATV. 500cc - 800cc sport quads have a lot of power and would be good for someone your size but are expensive. I just checked a few different brands and they were around $7,400 - $8,200.
A lot of people will recommend one brand or another of 450. I know a really skinny guy who probably weighs 120 pounds and thinks his Z450 doesn't have enough power because people beat him all the time. His brother probably weighs 220 pounds and has a YFZ450 and likes the power (but he rides his Sportsman 700 most of the time). You really have to ride any certain model you're interested in first to see if it's enough power for you. A lot of it too depends on if you'll be trail riding in the woods, racing on a track, flying through sand dunes, or whatever.
EDIT: Oops, I meant to say 400 OR 450, not just 450, but you already get the picture.

Take a look at a DS650. Used they can be had dirt cheap and fit your size and weight. Very overbuilt bikes. You may not hang with the latest fastest quads but you can make them nervous.

ok if i went to a dealer ship would they let me test drive the quads i want to???? well i have been told to get a z400... i have been told a 400ex or 450trx... i dont really want a hybrid mix of a utily and a sport quad i just want sumthing that would handle empty corn fields grass in my front yard and back yard and respond well to a lil trail riding every now and then and it must be able to pop the fron wheels up to hold them up

Lets face it; your not a small dude. That being said, IMHO your going to need a "big block".
Out of your list the only big blocks you have are #6.
Out of those 2 you don't want to break the bank, then the 660 is your only choice.
If you didn't want the 660, you only have a few more choices for "big blocks".
The 660, the 700 Yamaha, the KFX 700, or the Bomb 650. That's the end of the list for the bigger guy.

I think once you go at least sit on a 450, you will be able to see if they fit your size requirements. I would say they might be a bit small, but you will have to figure that out. The Honda 450R & Suzuki LTR450 are a bit bigger physically than a Yamaha YFZ450. The 400's aren't real small, but again, since you are a big guy you will have to go find out whether they are comfortable for you or not. The 660 Raptor is a bit on the tall and narrow side, with a short wheelbase so it is tippy and wheeliehappy, just something to consider so you can adjust your riding style accordingly if its what you want. 2001 Raptor 660's also had some tranny problems. The DS650 is another quad I would at least consider, it is big and heavy but that might be peachy for ya'. No reverse tho and noticably bigger and heavier than the other quads listed, supposed to be powerful and tough tho.
Basically: go ride/sit on as many as you can! Oh, and are you looking at new or used?
