Default Best oldschool entrylevel quad (less then $800 preferrably)

Hello, I have a old Yamaha YFM100 Moto4 Champ that recently went kaput on me, the rear gear and coupling gear went and those seem to be the parts everybody breaks on these, so needless to say i cannot economically fix the damn thing at the moment.

Anyways, although I'm 21 years old i've only started playing with quads, so i prefer small and light little 100 to 250cc 4 stroke quads and was wondering what are some things i could hunt down. I would be more then happy to buy another Moto4 Champ but so far all i've found our examples going for twice what i payed for mine (and nearly the same price i would pay for a road-legal DT175 motorcycle of slightly older vintage)

Anyways anything that is reliable, fun, and lightweight is good, i only weigh 145lbs so 100cc is enough power to get tail-out power-sliding action, plus i like the idea of improving my own riding skills as much as possible before investing in something truly awesome/dangerous/expensive.

So basically what names should i look for if i want something between 100-250 CC, older (but reliable) and made to be lightweight and agile? I honestly don't know what to look for and figuring out what to look for name wise would be half the battle!

Thanks!

PS: whats the deal with all these cheap knock-off brands? are they worth being trusted?

The Raptor 250 isn't "old school", but it would suit you excellently, You won't find one used, but they aren't really that expensive new.

Otherwise, pick up a Blaster.....

Yeah but you can rebuild the entire engine with a paper clip and about 45 minutes....lol.....

Besides I would not say a Blaster, in stock form is unreliable....... when they start adding mods on a 2-stroke then you mess with reliability a little more but generally speaking I've seen Blasters run for a long time.....
