Hey all. I am new to sportquads, no experience at all. 5'8 180lbs, Arkansas.

Looking for something reliable, good suspension, quick turning ability, quick and nimble. Will ride mostly trails and weyerhauser roads, no racing. The bike will most likely remain stock, but still want a bike with lots of options if i decide to add mods. I want to buy new.

What do yall think about these bikes?
Quadsport z400
Raptor 350
TRX 400ex
TRX 400x

I want something I wont get tired of quickly. Should I look at something higher up the bracket? Like:
Quadracer r450
KFX 450r
Raptor 700R
YFZ 450
TRX 450R

Thanks,
Adam

If this is your first bike go with the 400 class bikes the 400ex for trails and some track or the Z400 for track and some trails. The other choices of bikes are good bikes but I would not recommend them to a person just getting into the sport. Both of the 400's are bikes you can grow into and have for a long time plus both are very buildable to run with most 450 bikes. If you are looking at a new bike the Z400 all the way as for 09 it is all new except for the motor and thay added EFI!

The 400 class! The Honda if you ride tighter trails, and the Suzuki if you ride faster more open trails, and more open country.

The Yamaha is to be avoided! The 450's scream, and don't like to lug down or go slow (plus they are higher maintenance). The Raptor 700 is a torque monster.

I would say for price the z400 cannot be beaten......... the Raptor 700 is probably your other option but they are a decent amount more and with the new z400 updates I think it is a better buy.
