Buying An ATV When I Return From Iraq
Hello All,
I have been deployed for about 12 months now and I only got 2 or 3 left til I'm back home. I had a few questions about what quad I want. I'm a bigger guy about 6'3" and weight about 220 and I was wondering which of these 3 sport quads would be best for me. It's between the 08 Polaris Outlaw, a 06 or 07 DS 650, or a Raptor 700. I was just wondering if anyone had a preference and why. Like as far as durability, how much do the parts cost in comparisson to each other, and just which one rides better. I will mostly be doing desert riding a little forrest trails riding and maybe a trip to the dunes once in awhile. Anywho if anyone can provide me with insights on which one would be best for me I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks for lookin and have fun ridin.

Raptor is a good all-arounder! It's a torque monster off the bottom, but falls a little flat on top, at least in stock trim. 220 and 6'1" isn't all that heavy or huge, so you don't exactly need a monster quad....

Hey, Thanks for your service!!! I like my KFX 700. For me it does it all ( 6' and 220 ). Good low end power, maybe a little heavy for jumps. It is belt drive which I like for trails. Take care and come home safe, AL

The outlaw has a great KTM engine. I dont know too much about the DS650 but as for the Raptor most of the magazines that do the shootouts say that it is the best bang for the buck, but personally if you have the little extra in cash i would go for the Outlaw just for the KTM engine. What branch of service are you in, I just got out of the military myself so i have been there too good luck on your purchase.

Go for the Raptor! I am like you 6'2 220 and the bike fits me like a glove. With EFI and by far the most buildable engine for the money you can't go wrong with a 700R! It has been the best bike I have ever owned hand down!
