buying from the internet.Safe trade??
Found out in Ebay but no longer post it.And the seller contact me through mail.
"First of all you should know that the ATV has a free and clear title, it's in very good condition, mechanically and aesthetically intact, no damages, no hidden defects, ready for ride, it has only 260 miles on it, still covered warranty. This 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 700 EFI will come with: a Mile Marker winch, front, mid & rear
stainless steel skid plates, HMF exhaust, outlaw clutch kit, 14" ITP rims, 27" ITP radial tires, along with the stock pipe, clutch kit, and skid plates. This utility vehicle has no damage whatsoever. It starts, runs and rides like new. It was never stuck or wrecked, never in deep mud, always kept inside. It's only being sold because we've moved and because I'm stranded with cash. My loss is your gain..I'm no longer located California, I've recently moved to Montana and took the Grizzly with me. I'm willing to your location in Louisiana through Showroom Transport and I can cover some of the shipping and insurance fees: total price $4,400 delivery included (I have a relative who works for them so shipping will not be a problem).
I would like our transaction to be supervised by eBay Motors through their Vehicle Purchase Protection plan. In case we have a deal I will notify eBay Motors transactions department so they can inform you about my reliability and how we can proceed with this
transaction in a 100% safe way.
I have a relative who works for a
shipping company, who will help me a lot with the shipping and
insurance (from what I know, he has 50% discount on all national
shippings). They can also ship to residentials, so your home address in
Louisiana would work just fine. Believe me, I wouldn't offer to cover
some of the shipping if I hadn't been totally aware of what I'm going
through. The fact is that I really need some cash at this time and
selling the 4-wheeler through eBay would save me some precious time."
Really wanted to buy this atv but afraid of this is a scam as the price is cheaper than ebay! I think he can easily sell it in ebay for $4200 in 2 days easily..Any thought? How to get a safer trade?Need some advise.

Yeah, it's a scam.
I played one guy who had the same story of a relative that would handle the shipping for them, but as expected, the deal fell apart when I said that I'd pick it up because I travel anyway and his location was right on my way, he bailed.....

Here is another reply:
I'm in for a 100% safe transaction for both of us, that is why I
suggested dealing through eBay Motors, covered by Vehicle Purchase
Protection. They can work for us just like an escrow service, just that
the transaction will be faster and also 100% secure for both of us. You
will send them the payment (wire transfer), then they will let me know
that the payment is OK and I can start the shipping. After the ATV will
arrive to you and you will inspect it, you will let them know that, so
they can release the funds to me.
As I mentioned, going through eBay' supervision will guarantee an
inspection period for you, meaning that you can see and inspect the
Grizzly before any funds will be released to me.
Let me know if this is satisfactory to you, and I can inform them so we
can get detailed info and have them send you an invoice for $4,400
delivery included.
Also please include your FULL NAME and EXACT ADDRESS in Louisiana,
needed for the shipping.
Is this safe enough?Thanks.
