I for example don't like rugger band drives, so I don't give those companies that make them any of my money!!! Nice and simple.
Rubber band or not, Honda just has the lowerest HP utilities and dullest in there class. 680 pushing only 39hp and 500s pushing 27hp is just dull and out of step with all the rest. No tranny made can hide that, 5 speed or belt.

There are discounted ATVs like the 660 Grizzly and 500 Vinson that Honda has yet to match in performance,ride and features.

I am in Ottawa Ontario.

As for the other suggestions, I need to get a test ride on a Renegade 500/800, and see how they work, I used to ride Banshees/Quadracers etc. so power/speed is not something I fear (I actually quite like it).

I will (in 3 years or so ) need the option of riding 2-up, so that is the only issue with no racks on the Renegade for a seat to mount to, but I could always stick the young lad on teh back of the wife's bike.
