the 800 is the only one that i rode that ran quite a bit better then a 500, the other two not really. do i have to like everything polaris?? well i dont. and because the 500 is "old" it cant compete? i bet my old banshee would wax your tall over priced raptor with just a $200 trail port, i might even beat u now! my old out dated 400ex probably out hadles the raptor in tight woods (u woul;dnt believe so) but maybe in 2012 it'll get power steering an add another $700 to the price!

Wow now you are stretching things a bit! Lets take that banshee to the track or tight wood trail and see haw it does! I will take up on that 400EX bet any day of the week while were at it! Even you know its not always about the bike and more about the rider If either of these bikes mentioned were that good you would not need two do everything the Raptor can do in one bike! Sure it might not be as fast as your Banshee in a strait line or as nimble as a 400EX but it is competitive with both! So therefore who really spent more money in the long run?! Stock for Stock I would still take a Raptor over any of these bikes for and given ride thrown at it!

who spent more? you did my friend, you did i paid 1400 for that 400ex and 2500 for the banshee a couple years ago and would rather have 2 quads then one lol. i fell for all the hype and bought "the biggest and baddest" just like you. the 660 raptor we bought brand new was a dissapointment. the sportsman 700 was a dissapointment, the prairie 650 was the fastest at the time and i had that too. ive had MANY MANY more, i go through em like water, so when i speak i tend to know what im saying. no i dont like everything any of the manufactures make, but i bet i can find something i do like from each and every one of them

So now you are comparing a Raptor 660 to a Raptor 700???? This is your first mistake. I am glad you got good deals on a couple of used quads. Do you have a problem with me buying new???? Just because I like new does not make mine a crappy bike or your used ones a bad bike neither. Like I told you before if Yamaha came out with a new Banshee that was better handler, faster than the banshee you have now I bet you would be the first inline to buy it! I had a 250R and wont own another 2 stroke anything I would rather be riding than wrenching! And what makes you think I payed full MSRP on any of my bikes??? I dont need or want to tell you what I payed for any of them but will say this its not what know but who!!!!

you dont like 2 strokes? is it because the manufacturers realized that 4 strokes are a gold mine? 2 strokes arent made because most people can fix them themselves and barely have any parts compared to a 4 stroke. 2 strokes will be back

No I dont like 2 strokes because they suck at altitude and you have to do more to keep them running properly! I have delt with enough Detroit diesels 2 strokes to last two lifetimes. For how and where I like to ride there power band is all wrong. If I were racing in sand drags I might reconsider but as I said I would rather be riding than wrenching. I wrench for a living and dont need to be doing on the weekends and on my toys too! Just to give an example my Raptor goes more places that most 4x4s and no two stroke will ever lug low enough for my needs!

well im sure the direct injected 2 strokes could change your mind... if only they'd make quads and dirt bikes with them. i dont wrench on my 2 strokes, but i dont change altitude much either

well i have the king quad 450 had my 07 since it came out. all u need to do on this machine is get rid of the plastic skids and get the aluminum ones. if u add bigger tires a dalton clutch kit wakes this thing up. great machine all the power u will need lucky for u they got rid of the crappy stock tires and added maxix which have great traction.

I test drove a 450 Grizz last night. I liked it. Size wise it felt similar to the Sportsman
Your talking about the pre 2011 Hawkeye size Sportsmans 400H.O I take it, The Standard Sportsmans are much larger then the 450 Grizzly, the new 400 Sportsman weighs more than a 700 Grizzly now. http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en...=149546&go2=Go
