Need some Advice...

I am brand new to the ATV scene and haven't got a clue as far as which ATVs to consider purchasing. I bought a sportbike and while at the dealer I seen a Raptor 660 and thought 4 wheeling may be a fun hobby.
I will be riding hilly, wooded trails with creeks and mudholes in Northeast Georgia. I don't hunt or race just want to have fun and be able to take it wherever I want to so I would want 4x4. I do want something with speed but it doesn't have to break my neck.
I was told the Prairie 360 4x4 is a good all arounder and also have been eyeballing the Polaris 500 4x4.
I guess I'm looking for options to consider while I am looking for a decent deal. Don't want the best just something used, that is good and reliable in the $2500 range...
Thanks in advance

The Prairie 360 is a great entry level machine that will get you through just about everything. Obviously, the Sportsman 500 or Scrambler 500 would be faster than the Prairie 360. All of these machines will do well in the mud, with the nod going to the Sporstman because of higher ground clearance. The Scrambler and Prairie would be a little easier to negotiate tight wooded trails but the Sportsman does fine there too. Given your budget my guess is the Prairie is a more likely candidate.

I have a 1996 Polaris Scrambler 400 4x4 and it will go through almost any terrain you give it. But on the other hand, the Prairie 360 would be less expensive and more of a beginner's quad. The Scrambler 500 would be more money and would need a little more experience.
