My brother rides the kq 400...has had no issues with it in 1000 miles...think his is an 08. I would go with everyone else on the king. I would go that route for the oil cooled system and the speedo-I know sounds strange...we do a lot of long rides and the speedo is a better indication of gas left than that junky guage they put in them! Just my two cents-I would start with an out the door value on the quad and see where they are and then offer a few hundred less-get the out the door value first before you haggle!

hey um i see alot of very solid points but the reson honda dosnt have a low range is because they are low geared in first i have the honda rancher 420 fm aka manual its worked dreams its very dependable in the winter i hop on and im off while every body else is in the garage warming theres up im out riding i also have found that my 420 will keep up with the 500 that are in this photo the 420 is on the left the 2 500 on the right i got 25s on my 420 and trust me it will spin befor you lose power that i promice you its not a matter on how much its matter on what your doing with the atv mine is a all around atv i got mine and i loved it i test dove 7 atvs and i almost when with a can am but the $$$ way over ill get a new car for that price but my atv will keep up with the grizzlys and will pull with the 500s but torque is very mistaken the shaft on the honda rancher when you look at it its shaft driven the shaft will tourque befor you lose power and its no lie that the locking diff is a plus but thats only if you have one tire in the air if you have a rancher pulling and all 4 tires are on the ground you will have complete 4x4 diff but on the negitive side i noticed in the winter my limited slip is when you will have that 3 wheel drive its very tough and my honda 420 dose have disk brakes but sence its shaft drivein i got 2 disk in the front and one on the back axle its very solid and very dependable i wouldnt have got any thing else i have compleate faith in it but its all on personal prefrince to what you what in my experience the belt driven have to wined up then take off were my power is very instant im not bashing the belt because jd gators use them and they will pull some stupid **** but its a matter of what you want we can all buff up our wheelers to make them sound good but i love mine and you no matter what you get will love yours

Hey thanks for the replies and help with all the information that has been given. On a side note...I quickly glanced at a few of your posts that you posted today and they are all 1-3 year old post. They are no longer active. this post was last visited on 07-12-2011, 09:02 AM. There are other post that you dug up that were from 2009. Just tryin to help you out so you dont keep making comments on old posts.
