Would you consider a LT125 from 1983 for a 10 yr old?
I'm looking for an appropriate sized ATV for my 10 year old and feel like Goldie Locks as the kid ATVs are too small, and the 250's are too big for my 10 year old. So I started looking at the TRX125s and LT125s from the mid 1980s. I know they are without suspension but they fit him well. The problem I see is buying such an old machine. Any advice is appreciated.
FWIW, we also have a 09 Recon 250 and an 08 LTZ250 which my 10 year old isn't safely able to operate independently, so I'm not inclined to go up to this size.
Thanks!

I have a 1983 lt125 for my 8yr old daughter and it works good. Slightly big for her but she is kinda short. It actually has a honda 110 motor, but the suzuki motor is similiar. The facts i like are that unless they know how to shift you can have control of how fast they can go, parts are still somewhat available. Plus being an automatic it is easier for kids to learn on. They do bounce around more being a rigid frame, but not bad. My daughter loves it.

We made a purchase last week and ended up with a 2000 Suzuki 160 quadsport. Four stroke, auto clutch with reverse, rack on the back, front / rear suspension. Used, but not abused. My 10 year old couldn't be happier and it seems to be the right "medium" size that even and adult can use w/o looking like a circus bear on a tricycle.
