Can anyone give me their impressions of the Trail Boss? Any recent purchases give me an idea what a good price is? I'm really looking for an inexpensive 2 WD machine that is auto for my wife and kids. Thanks.

Either a Trail Boss or a Trailblazer would be a good machine. The Trail Boss is 325cc, and looks a little more utility like. The Trailblazer is a 250cc two-stroke. As you probably know, there is a lot more available power from the Trailblazer, and if you want a two-stroke, you need to act fast, as they are quickly being phased out of the model line-ups, and are soon scheduled to be outlawed. No matter which machine you get, you'll love it. Good luck, and keep us informed on what your decision is.

Greetings,

I tested a TrailBoss for similar uses -- a second quad for wife, kids, friends, etc. I really liked the auto for the ease of use for novices and I was surprised at how big it was for a 325, a full sized adult can feel comfortable on it. I didn't like the big can around the transmission which made me plant my feet wider than normal, but overall, it looked like a good value. The only reasons I didn't get it was (a) I really like my dealer (Honda, Suzuki, Harley) and (b) I was a little hesitant about the Polaris reliability thing (just my feeling at the time).

**** If you are thinking about buying a Trail boss you have to ride one first, and then you will really know what lack of power they have. I was going to buy one untill i rode one. They are very comfortable but there is a big lack in power. They are also a good looking quad, but i think if had a regular trans. it would help it out. I have a friend that has had nothing but problems. I not tring to bash polaris because i really think they are good. If you are looking for a 300-350 work related quad the rancher 2x4 or 4x4 is the way to go. I bought a mint 1996 300 fourtrax and absolutly LOVE IT! Great pulling power, good speed and mosy relieable quad ever built! Honda it says it all.

I'd go with the Magnum 325 2x4. It looks alot better than the T Boss, it has Low Range, and it has shaft drive. The '01 Mag. 325 2x4's come in silver this year, and they are lookin' pretty sweet!
