maintenance on griz and SP 700?
#1
I plan on buying an atv this spring and I'm between the griz and sp700. My question is how much preventative maintenance is needed on the 2. I've heard there are a lot of grease fittings on polaris machines. Can you griz and polaris owners clue me in as to what types of things have to be done to your quads to keep them in tip top shape? Thanks in advance.

hey,
i do all the maintance the machine requires, and it takes me about 1 hour every 20 hours. the grizzly has been a joy to own, and vary east to maintance. my friend has a sportsman 500, and has also done all the maintance it requires. he said it takes him about 2 to 3 hours every 20 hours. not to big of a differance as long as you dont go 20 hours every weekend, lol. he has also put on new tierod ends, as well as new c v joints, and it is 2 years old with about 300 hours on it. he is vary easy on his machine, and wont even go through the deep stuf. so, why the front end breakdown? maybe he is just unlucky, or there is a weekness there? i think either quad would be great to own, compared to the old 250's or a honda, lmao!
