Are Polaris designers that stupid?

If you want anything to last, keep the dirt and water out,(sealed bearings). Maybe they thought it would it add to much weight,so kept the fuel gage off. J/k LOL !! Who knows?? Maybe they really forgot it or maybe they just assumed you could use a stick to check it.

i know that if i am running through alot of mud, and have it packed all over the quad, in cluding the tank, then i would not want to be unscrewing the cap to check the ammount of fuel left! if i am mistaken, they you can tell me, but aint the new palaris the most expensive new big bore quad on the market? i am in no way knocking the new big brute, but i agree totally with you, it should have one on it. i use mine alot just to check how much is left!!!

Pricing depends a LOT on the dealer. We have a good Polaris dealer (which is the biggest reason I drive one) and a crappy Honda dealer (which is why I quit buying Hondas).
When the 700 first came out, I happened to be in that town (about 1 1/2 hour drive) and asked what the 700 cost. I forget the amount, now, but that isn't the point. I then (out of curiosity) drove 1/2 mile to the Honda dealer, and asked what a Rubicon ran, and it was $100 MORE than the 700. The MSRP may be higher, but for me, it is actually a little less. No Kawi or Yammy dealers were nearby to compare. I guess the dealers can ask anything they want, and as long as people pay it, I guess they can get away with it.
