I am new to ATVs and planning on the purchase of my first one. I will detail the uses I have planned for the ATV and hope you who have "been there, done that" can help with some suggestions.

What I know I want: RELIABILITY,4x4,RELIABILITY, automatic, RELIABILITY,and locking front diff. I will use it for recreational trail riding, hunting, some snow plowing, and chores around the farm. I would like it to have the power and seat room so my wife and I can both ride.(I know they aren't for two people but people do it anyway.) It has to be stable and easy enough to ride for her to ride alone too.

I will NOT be racing it or doing high speed or radical terrain riding.

I've read some pros and cons about the belt drive and shaft drive. What do I look for here? Also how much better is Independent rear suspension?

In researching, I've narrowed it down to Prairie 650, Grizzly 660, Rubicon, (or the new Rincon?). Which of these is my best choice or is there something better suited for me that I have overlooked?

I know there are a lot of questions here and a lot of variables. Price really isn't an issue since I seem to be looking at high end ATVs anyway. Thanks for any and all input.

Sounds like the Griz or Rincon would suit your needs best.
Independent
suspension gives a better ride and traction.
Solid rear axle gives better handling for off cambers And sporty riding.
The Rincon tranny will probably require less maint. Also no belt slippage
in deep water. All your choices are good ones. GOOD LUCK with whatever
you get.
Just to show I am not biased I ride a Suzuki

There is no comparison vs the independant suspension (Grizz) and a strait axel (Honda)...the independant offers a smoother ride and better off road capability. PLUS the Grizz has a locking front end which gives you TRUE 4X4. A HUGE ADVANTAGE IN THE MUD! Also, if you like power and speed, the Grizz will SMOKE the Honda! Recomendation - Grizz 660!!!
