2001 or 2002 Wolverine?
#1
I'm going to buy a used 2001 Wolverine w/ low hours this weekend, but I just ran across a used 2002 Wolverine that's 3-months old. The 2002 is $300 more and is 1 1/2 hours away. So my question is do you think a year newer model is worth an extra $300 & a 3 hour drive round trip? Has anything changes from 2001 to 2002?
Thanks

The only changes I can think of would be the recoil backup starter. One thing about a newer model is that the plastic will be in better shape, the whole bike will be cleaner, the tires will have less wear, the wheels won't be as dinged up. There's alot of things to consider. If you go and look at (and ride) the 2001, and you like it, then buy it. You should be able to talk the guy down around $300. I just sold a '98 Wolverine, and it went for $3600. Not too bad considering it was over 4 years old, and I only paid $5100 for it new. Either way you go, if you ever have any questions about the bike, feel free to send a private message, and I should be able to answer just about any question. (mods, maintenance, aftermarket parts, performance, etc...) It's a great bike, you'll have lots of fun with it!!!!
