I'm looking for a quad for my wife. I don't want anything high performance cuz i don't want her to hurt herself. She's 5'7" 125 lbs and can't drive and doesn't want to learn how to ride a real bike, so can someone give me a list of automatic quads out there (with reverse prefferably)? thanks.

First choice would be a Yamaha Kodiak400.

Second choice would be the Breeze.
The Yamaha Breeze 125 is a real nice quad that has those features and a good price to boot. If she isn't going to be going fast and not trying to keep up with you guys on bigger machines, this would be a good choice. They pull an adult just fine through almost any terrain. Go to your dealer for a test drive. Nice power for a small machine.

Knowsalot,
You are forgetting the prairie 300, 360 or 400. My dad has one that he uses for hunting and it is really nice and easy to use. Also don't forget the Polaris line. A 250 Polaris would be a good learning quad.

I agree with knowsalot. My girlfriend weighs 110 lbs and wheels around on my Kodiak with no problem at all. It has light steering effort, shifting between forward-reverse is slick, and overall is a very easy atv to ride. For even lighter steering effort, she could try the Kodiak 2 wheel drive. My recommendation would be the Kodie 4X4 though.

I would go with the Kodiak. This atv is very user friendly. The power, shifting, handling are very impressive. It also doesn't feel like a big quad when your siting on it. When triail riding it is very easy to judge. Like hunter explorer said "My recommendation would be the Kodie 4X4 though.". Its nice to know that if you wife gets stuck 4x4 is there with the push of a button. Once she gets use to the atv she will love it.

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. If you want to put your wife on a bike for a 12 to 15 year old go a head (BREEZE). Keep in mind that if she can't be with you OR WORSE, if you hang back with her, one of you will not be having much fun. My experience is that MOST woman want a bike that is easy to ride.
Auto Trans, FWD OR REV, Single lever Brakes ,soft seat, suspension, and A stable (NON TIPPY) machine (MEANING HEAVY).

The 3 women in our riding group love there POLARIS. My wife has a trailblazer, My buddies wife has a Scrambler 500 X and her friend has a Scrambler 400 4x4. They couldn't be happier.

I would very Highly recomend the POLARIS TrailBlazer for your wife. (Get a machine that she likes and is comfortable for her or she wont use it....and the Trailblazer is the one of the lowest priced ADULT SIZED quads on the market.($2899.00) closer to $3200 out the door. If you wan to spend a little more you can get 4x4 and liquid cooling, and shaft drive. ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT TO SPEND.

As far as POLARIS reliability talk to the people that OWN them. Problems are few and far between (or self inflickted). I HAVE NOT HAD ONE problem and MY BUDDIE had to put a WATER PUMP SEAL on his MODED 00 scrambler. THAT IS IT. GAS AND GO.
CK OUT THE POLARIS LINE UP
SHE WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

How about a Honda Recon ES. The 5 speeds are push buttons on the handlebars, no clutch. they list for around $3400. Good power & handling. No chain to maintain.
