Kawasaki 360 or Polaris 500 ho ,which is the best choice

i work on polaris's all day in the shop, and you couldn't whoop my a$$ and make buy or ride a polaris.they are a maintenance nightmare, and i know the reliability isn't anywhere near the kawi.
and just because the polaris might have more features doesn't make it the better choice if it doesn't run or get you where you wanna go.and there's no sense in buying a machine that you have to baby and worry about. buy a machine thats going to get the job done and not wimper about.i would also consider a honda if i were you.

I would DEFINETLY consider looking at the Arctic Cats. I was in the same spot you were about 4 months ago. I look ALL around and test almost all of them. AC was the best four wheeler for the price. The Polaris had the power but the reliability factor shunned me away from them. If you look at the new polaris's they are VERY complicated and if something goes wrong it is VERY expensive. The Kawi's were considered more reliable but the lack of pulling power, rack capacity, fuel capacity and clearence were major proplems. As of right now AC make the best chasis and has PLENTY of power. There not speed demons but ive had my AC 375 4x4 going around 57 mph and thats plenty fast enough on an atv that weighs over 600 lbs. Please consider looking at the Arctic cat's. You'll be glad you did.
P.S. -AC has won the annual ATV pull 3 years in a row up here in maine at the dover fair.

Is it because of the belts? I'm in the market as well. I'm looking at the Sportsman 400 and 500 and the Arctic Cat 300 4x4 and 500. I heard the the heel toe shifter was confusing. Would the 300 be able to haul a second person and can it push a plow?
Thanks

Well I went and got the Polaris Sportman 500 ..Heard lots of comments both ways...also talked to some people who have them..who are happy with them..and got good service from the dealer...and it was a good price..$8500. with the winch and a rear seat...This is Canadian..so it will seem high to people in the USA..Get it tommorow..will be posting my experince with it,good or bad..But wish me luck..eh

Bill, stop your anti Polaris agenda. You had big troubles with your first quad and after a zillion negative threads on this Forum, you've bought Polaris AGAIN. It was a fun to read your Polaris bashing for a while, but you're becoming .......pathetic.
I was wondering how many of you Polaris reliability experts actually owned one.
I also keep reading about a terrible Polaris maintenance/Sportsman grease fittings/...
I had SP500 and it took me 15 minutes to grease them, now I have Grizz.660 and had to modify my grease gun and have to take off the rear tires to properly grease IRS bottom zerks.
I would buy Polaris AGAIN, if it had lock diff.,600 lb,and light steering. From my perspective Kawi 360 and SP500HO are not even in the same class. Sp 500 HO with IRS and much bigger motor is a clear choice. At least for me who had the SP 500 and several Polaris ATVs,/my wifes present ride is Pol.Magnum 325 4x4/ with no problems.
