Im looking to buy my first quad and my budget is around 3500. My question is should i buy a used banshee or a brand new blaster? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Don't do what I did. Get the Banshee because you'll always want something faster. I went from a stock blaster and got a modded banshee. If you ride all wooded areas, look at a four-stroke (another mistake)

 

You need to offer some basics before reasonable responses can be given.

1) Your height & weight?
2) Have you ever own off-road toys?
3) Describe your past experiences/history with ATV,s, Dirtbikes ETC.

I am 5'9 155lbs. I live in SoCal so I will ride in Glamis and Pizmo and I will do a little trail riding

 

Well.. the weight sounds fine, but @ 5' 9" I'd say your really to tall for a Blaster. I'm 5'9" and I feel cramped on my sons Blaster. Also you didn't mention your experience level??? If your new to the sport or have minimal experience, I'd suggest a 400EX. It has a good predictable mellow power band & great handling. Now if you have decent skill, I'd recogmend either a 250R or a Banshee, especially if you plan on riding the larger hills & walls @ Glamis. Of the (3), the 2 strokes (250R, Banshee) will get you to the top faster than the 400EX.
