FYI.

Dealer markup (suzuki at least) is either 12 or 17% depending on the model (ATV's). They have to make something off the deal, dont get carried away, but you will get $$$ off.

When it comes to Honda, I will only buy from Abernathy's Honda in Union City, TN. Their website is www.abernathyonline.com if you want to check them out.

<< Then right before you sign, pick out a nice new helmet and have them toss it in as well. Good luck. >>

LMAO.......

I'm about to start dealing, I know of some people who don't pay for setup fees, they just negotiate till something gives, I also know a friend that took an envelope with a certain amount of cash and told the dealer this is what I want this is what ill pay, and he even left and the dealer called back the next day and said $105 more and its yours.

Wish me luck.

You can and should deal and do not pay MSRP. Getting the dealer to throw in accesseries is sometimes easier than getting money off the price. DO NOT PAY SET UP FEEs. It is a racket. My dealer (where I have purchased 3 new 500 HOs) gave me $500 off MSRP and some accesseries. Allied Powermart is in Conroe, Texas and is a TOP-NOTCH dealer. Ask for Carl if you go and look. I see you live in Texas but I do not know how far from Conroe you live.

$6,200 is a great deal! The 500 Ho is a bit on the large side for sport racing. It is unbeatable in the mud.

Well around here in CT the dealerships are all sleeping with eachother. NONE that I went to even budged on price. They all went to their MSRP book and opened it in front of me and showed me what the price was. I was going to buy on the spot one day and the guy tried to charge me $199.00 setup fee and never told me till I went to ring out and I told him to forget it unless he took it off or gave me some accessories to make it up and he said nope, so I walked right out. Never talked to the guy again. What is involved in the setup of an ATV anyway. All I see is that you uncrate it and start it up. Just a money making thing. A lot of the dealers said they only make like 6-10%. They get you on the parts and accessories. That's why we have ebay!!
