Default Rookie in need of advise on buying used ATV

Looking to buy my 1st ATV for deerhunting. What can I expect to get for $3000? I'd like to get a 350-400 cc engine and 4wd would be nice but I don't think an absolute necessity. Thanks for the feedback!

you otta be able to find a used foreman for that. If hauling a deer is all you really need it for, it will work great. The Honda foreman will not be the best recreational machine but it will work like a horse for you. I own a '89 bayou 220 and used it for hunting before my p650. I was really happy with all that that 2x2 would do for me. It is tuff and will carry a dear out just fine down a trail. If you can choose between either, go with a full time 4x4 foreman. It will give you all the snort you need while hunting.

Any of the Brands 4 stroke 4x4s under 500cc s and older than a 2000 model should be in your price range and if you look at a few you can tell the ones that are in good shape and the ones that will be a money pit.
