Default Too much machine?

As you can tell by name I am a rookie to both this site and sport ATV's. Just finalized the purchase of a KFX400, sign the papers this Friday, will have bike by late next week. I have never ridden a sport ATV, currently have a 2000 Rancher 350 4x4, fun to play on but most of the riding I do is on old logging roads, abandoned gravel pits and open fields. No real need of 4wd. I thought long and hard before going with the KFX, thought it might be wiser to maybe start with a smaller quad but I am just a little over 6' tall, didn't want to be to cramped so I went with the 400. I have ridden lots of motocross bikes when I was younger ( YZ's and CR's ). Is this bike going to be civil enough for me to get comfortable with before being able to exploit it's full potential. Thanks for any info. I guess since the bike is already ordered it's kind of late to change my mind but any info you can give would be much appreciated.

Your experience riding the bigger heavier Rancher, should serve you well in the transition to the sport bike. The 400 is lighter and way better suspended, so you are in for a real treat!! Just take it easy while you get the feel of the new bike!!
