I'm going to get one of these quads with-in a month and would like to know what are some of the out the door prices that you have been paying for these quads. Which of these 2 yamahas are the best, I think that the 400 is about 1000 bucks cheaper. If any of you can help with these OTD prices I will be greatful.

A lot of people go with the 450 over the 400, it seems, but I thought the 800-900 dollar difference was enough for me to question whether or not I needed the Low gear and differential lock. So I settle w/ the 2003 Kodiak 400. No problems to date. OTD.....right over $5100. Did a lot of shopping around.

you also get more poewr and and rear disk brakes which is far better if you ride through mud
