Hi all!
Just bought a old bad trail boss 250 4x4 -90 that ive been ridden around a fair bit. But now i whant something newer and better. I really like the light weight of the old scoot, when i ride with a friend that have a -03 rancher i can ride evrywhere that he does and when i get stuck i just lift it up.. thats impossible with the rancher...
So... What is the lightest and best 4x4? I gona have it for firewood hauling and play... mostly play..

 

I think the lightest "new" 4x4 is probably the Yamaha 350 Wolverine at 485lb. The next to lightest would be the Honda 350 Rancher S at 498lb. The Wolverine has the Warrior motor in it and is sportier than the Rancher. The Rancher does give a fun ride. Both machines are fulltime 4 wheel drive.
What year is your "old bad trail boss 250 4x4-90"? I can't imagine a Polaris 4x4 weighing less than a Honda Rancher 4x4. The Polaris Xplorer 250 2-stroke 4x4 is 560 lb. and the 2 wheel drive 325 trail boss weighs in at 504lb. Does 90 mean 1990? The 4x4 250 trail boss was made from 1987 to 1993. If you are looking for the lightest then I'd go with the Wolverine. I would buy a Rancher 350 4x4 being next to lightest "new" atv. It would be good for work and play but also very reliable.

 

Get the Eiger it only weighs 577lb haha!!! But damn quick.

 

Get the yamaha Wolverine it is great for sport riding and it is a great work bike . I'm getting one this weekend Can't wait to go riding
