Carb ??
Morning fella's. I'm wrenching on An "05" outlander 400 with fuel probs. There seems to be A plug of some sort missing from the underside of the venturi, right next to the pilot jet. No book, and first one i've looked at!
Machine is starving for fuel when warm. I already adjusted valve lash, but it didn't cure the prob. THANKS

what kind of carb. and what did you figure out. got a friend looking at an 07' 450ds, after it warms up it acts like it's got no fuel, carb. issue? the owner wants to sell it as is and is willing to negociate price because of the run condition. he wont buy it if it's rings or internal... it looks like it's been taken care of mainly trail hours... owner wants $4000. fox/roll design suspension, new Itp rims and quadcross tires.

Ended up just being crap in the carb. Plugged up at the fuel inlet...nothing to do with temperature!
I would look at the valve lash adjustment on that machine first! It SHOULD have A "ticking" noise...if not the valves are too tight! Easy fix...very common as many people skip items on the maintenance schedule!
Tell the seller it sounds like bad rings! lol
