Default Shocking Help

Just removed front wheels to do a tire swap on an 06' DS.......Noticed that when I lifted up on the wheel spindle, there was play in the Shock bushings where the bolts go through, at the top n bottom connection points. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't there be "NO" play in up n down motion. Am I needing to replace the bushings at both ends of the shocks.........??

Pull them and check the wear and tear. May be as simple as tightening the retaining bolts.

Thanks for the reply.......the bushings were oblong and worn.....I replaced them as well as the carrier bearings, and am in the process of doing the OMR carb mods........If someone knows of anyone posting some pictures of the snorkel tubes....I'd love to see them.
