We just purchased an 2009 Renigade 500 and noticed it was over filled with oil. To drain a little oil from it I took out the large hex bolt just below the oil fill / check cap. To my surprise that is not the oil drain plug. Oil did come out, very slowly and there is a little black plastic looking thing in there, like a plunger or something. Can anyone tell me what that is? I drained a little oil from it then turned it slightly to realign it and put the cap back on it. Is that ok? Or should I be checking something else?

Any one with any ideas? hex bolt just below filler/oil check hole on 500 renegade? Has a little black plunger looking thing in it? What part is this?
