My son wants a trip to the Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan this summer, he has a 440ex, all I got is a 700 Grizzly, no way I'm riding that tank in the sand, I want to have fun too !!
Been looking at used sport ATVs, just something inexpensive for a good ride in the sand,I came across a completely stock 2001 DS650, looks very clean, owner says it runs great, it will need rear tires, looking pretty worn, but my question is:
Fair price for this year quad? hes asking 1900, may be able to talk him down
Any problems to look for with this quad, not real familiar with the DS, I usually run Honda and Yamaha, so anything that should be checked,or problems common to this year/model? Not really looking to spend a lot, I mostly trail ride and rock climb, so a sport ATV won't get used much, dont want a lot of money tied up in a lawn ornament.
Any advice/ideas are greatly appreciated.
