I think that a good fiber gasket would work. I have a friend with a 703 with a copper gasket and he cant get it to seal right. I think using silicone or gaskit cint is not the way to go. If a fiber gasket could be made then it would solve all these problems. Needs a smaller fire ring but you would have to put a sleeve in.

Well that suck's I will just have to save more money or something, What about boring it 102mm over and having it replated? Then would it work?

 

You can safely bore it to a 103mm and have it replated.

I think others have gone to a 103mm bore and re-niked the cylinder (is that one of the components to the Sam Coe 730 kit (also stroke?)

I think 102mm is the largest Team Pami will go on the stock jug (if that helps with your decision.)

I am back from pismo and all is good[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img], the 720 ran GREAT. Also you will need the RWR 60% clutch springs, my 40% springs did not hold up. I had no overheating or mechanical problems with the engine . The power was great, but I think you could get alot more top-end with some larger valves. The one problem I had was my carb kept slipping off my ported intake[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] If any one has another stock intake forsale PM me.
