no ds for me

Well some things have come up and as it turns out I won't be able top get the ds like I wanted to.But maybe by waiting I'll be able to see what the new yamaha is all about and maybe they will make some changes on the ds for 2001. Oh well, at least I still have my 250r to still rip around on.

Everyone should be thankful that Bombardier boldly stepped up to the plate and introduced a radically new sport quad to the ATV industry. If it weren't for the DS650, who knows how much longer it would have been before we started seeing new sport models being introduced. Bombardier is the one who got all of this started.
By the way, I have beaten many piped banshees in drag races at Little Sahara in Oklahoma with just a few simple mods to the DS. Any quad that can do this deserves some respect. The DS was turning a lot of heads and shocking a lot of banshee, 250R, and quadzilla, owners at the drags.

Scooby-Wizard,
I think it was a little more than "waiting for someone to step up to the plate"...if it was it certainly wouldn't have been the Canadians (with their cowardly French blood). There was some sort of deal made by the top manufacturers where nobody would produce a sport quad. Why else do you think everyone sat around while the Banshee was the only one on the market for close to 10 years?!?

Dr.juventus-P.H.D. THe deal made by the major manfactures was made with the us government called the consent decree which meant no more 3-three wheeler, no high performances machines for 10 years. How yam kept the banshee-?If those cowardly french had not given us their greatest creation ever, I seriously doubt any of the other major manfactures would have done anything any time soon.

"...their greatest creation ever"???? C'mon man, the only good thing the french ever gave us was French Fries and French Toast. I could go to Canada now, grow a stupid little mustache, put on a Hitler helmet and they would give me the keys to their Bombardier plant before I could tell them I wasn't the second coming. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2nd production run was the last.
Mr. Leech (nice name...probably huge sucking lips), I am here as a neutral voice not a Canadian a$$ kisser. I try to tell it like it is...I'm sorry if I hurt your yellow feelings!
